Portraits of Prosperity, Senegal

A day in the life of the family of Mr. Famara Mane, a farmer supported by the PINKK* project, from Kolda, Senegal. In an area characterised by the highest rates of malnutrition in the country, Mr. Mane is able to raise ducks and eggs to provide nutritious meals for his family, and sells the surplus for profit. Thanks to this income, Mr. Mane is proud to be able to fund the needs of his children, including school books and clothes. He is a champion of girl’s education, making sure all his daughters attend school and get good grades. Shot on behalf of Nutrition International, the Government of Canada, World Vision, World Vision and Développement international Desjardins.
